Hurricane Floyd left much of eastern North Carolina devastated, as we all know from the news reports.  Having been a part of Wilmington's experience with Hurricane Fran and many other storms, we personally know the long-term effects upon mind and spirit -- the burdens remain long after the news cameras have forgotten one's plight.  Spring is here, and with it the fresh start that season always offers.  However, erasing the loss and life disruption will take longer than a season.

We will also offer a free registration to anyone who makes a donation of $50 or more to any recognized organization with an established national or international relief funds for education, prevention of over-population, disease or animal welfare.  Some suggestions: American Red Cross, Americares, World Wildlife Federation, or Doctors without Borders.   You get the good karma of contributing to folks in time of need and a good software package.  (We do not recommend the United Way, Greenpeace, nor many religious organizations due to their wasteful and greedy management, promotion of extreme protest measures or any organization where less than 80% of your donation actually reaches the intended recipients -- hardly "non-profit" in our eyes).
